Formal Complaint to the Bureau of Land Management and the Department of Agriculture

From: NINER
Location: Rancho del Oro, Maricopa County
Date: Spring 2025

To the Inspector at the Bureau of Land Management and the Department of Agriculture,

I am writing to report a series of serious violations against our private 2.5-acre parcel of unincorporated land in Maricopa County, committed by individuals occupying the split 2.5-acre parcel to our north.

These individuals have rapped these grounds repeatedly—five documented times—by trespassing, removing native desert vegetation, and discarding priceless items tied to the land and home. The damage was not limited to the desert’s protected ecology; they also destroyed items of deep personal and historical value that belonged to our family and our property.

Now, these same individuals are seeking control of the very land they harmed. They do not get this land. Not before. Not after. Not ever.

This 2.5-acre parcel is not just land—it is heritage. It will always remain whole, exactly as it was received by David Ormond in the original land lottery. It will never be annexed, contracted, split, or compromised for the benefit of outside development interests.

Despite our initial kindness—sharing meals and offering hospitality—we were met with lies, destruction, and legal harassment. One resident even fabricated a false report, alleging I attempted to strike him with my vehicle. This is completely false and clearly intended to distort the truth.

We stand firm in our choice to remain unincorporated and independent. This land is not part of a town or city, and we will not be forced into development or infrastructure contracts. What we protect is not just a piece of property—it is a piece of the desert’s legacy.

We respectfully ask the Bureau of Land Management and the Department of Agriculture to investigate this ongoing issue and support our continued right to privacy, protection, and preservation.

Sincerely,
K. Kirton Niner
