WOW… WHERE DID THE WEEK GO?

Hello, CREEKER!

Here we are at Rally 3 already, and my first question is:

WOW. Where did the week go?

This week has been about FOCUS.

Not doing everything.

Not solving everybody.

Not chasing every conversation.

Focus on what is actually in front of us.

🏠 LIVE LIGHT — FOCUS ON THE WORK

Over at ll.w3connect.com, we’ve been building Live Light into something useful—not simply another webpage.

The work has been about giving a practitioner a real workspace: clients, scheduling, notes, communication, accounting, and the everyday tools needed to know:

Who am I helping?
What have we scheduled?
What needs my attention?
What did we accomplish?

That’s what technology should do.

Does this help?

If it doesn’t, we keep working until it does.

💙 TYLER — FOCUS ON FAMILY

This week also brings our attention back to TylerRomeroNiner.com.

Corey and I are petitioning to become co-guardians of Ty.

That’s not a sentence I ever imagined would become part of one of these broadcasts.

But this is where our family is today.

And I’ve learned that loving an adult child sometimes means recognizing the difference between what I want to fix, what I can help with, and what ultimately has to be handled through the proper medical, legal, and family processes.

So we’re taking it one step at a time.

Not rumor.

Not drama.

Not everybody else’s interpretation of Tyler.

Tyler.

Our son.

A human being whose dignity still matters while the adults responsible for helping him figure out what comes next.

Monday gave me another opportunity to look at something we’ve been talking about repeatedly:

boundaries.

I passed Beth a note that I had been holding onto.

She hasn’t reached out since.

And I’m going to let that be what it is.

A boundary doesn’t require somebody else to agree with it before it becomes a boundary.

But it also doesn’t require me to chase somebody down and demand a response.

I communicated.

Now the next move belongs to her.

And now for some Computer Science & Technology-in-Action.

A namespace matters.

A domain matters.

A subdomain matters.

And similar-looking names on the Internet do not automatically mean the organizations behind them are associated.

For the record:

w3connect.com/ns is part of W3CONNECT.com.

It should not be confused with w3connect.com.br.

Those are different Internet domains.

The .com and .com.br endings matter. That’s precisely the kind of distinction namespace teaches us to notice.

My concern about the Brazilian domain is real, and I believe the similarity deserves examination. But I’m also going to practice one of my own house rules here:

Say what you know. Distinguish what you believe from what you can prove.

What I can establish publicly right now is limited. A current Brazilian corporate-data result identifies a Brazilian company called W3I CONECTE LTDA, established in 2009 and involved in Internet information services. That alone does not establish infringement, association with W3CONNECT.com, or entitlement to another party’s domain.

So I’m not going to turn my concern into a proven legal conclusion before I have the evidence.

Instead:

Document it.
Research it.
Establish the timeline.
Establish the rights.
Then make the argument.

That’s how a Creeker stands taller.
