This video documents an incident that occurred on a private drive during a time when the lawful property owner was not present.
The individual operating a skid steer was performing grading and fill work without ownership, easement rights, or maintenance authority over the area being altered. This individual has previously been stopped by the property owner from performing work in this location.
During this incident:
- Heavy equipment was operated in close proximity to me, resulting in physical contact.
- When questioned on camera regarding under what authority the work was being performed, the operator stated he “could not hear” while operating the equipment.
- The operator then claimed permission from a neighboring property owner who does not own or control the land being altered.
Permission from an adjacent property owner does not confer authority to perform work on land owned by another, nor does it authorize alterations to drainage, grading, or private drives outside that boundary.
This work occurred on a predictable schedule when the lawful owner is known to be away, despite prior notice that such activity is not authorized.
This recording was made for the purpose of documentation, to preserve an accurate record for the property owner whose land was trespassed upon, and to address public safety concerns related to the operation of heavy machinery without proper authority.
This is not a first occurrence. It reflects an ongoing pattern of disregard for established boundaries, ownership, and jurisdiction.
The video is published in the interest of transparency, safety, and factual record, not confrontation.
