MOTHER CREEKER’S CHRONICLE — TODAY’S TALK

“HE DENIETH NONE: STANDING WHEN OTHERS DO”

There are moments in life when what we believe and what we experience do not match.

And when that happens, something inside of us rises.

Not just emotion—
but truth recognizing truth… and noticing when it is not being honored.

Today, I want to speak on a phrase that is simple, but eternal:

“He inviteth them all… and He denieth none that come unto Him.”
—from Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 26:33

THE STANDARD HAS ALREADY BEEN SET

This is not a suggestion.
This is not a guideline.

This is the pattern of Christ.

He inviteth all.
He denieth none.

That means:

  • Not the broken
  • Not the misunderstood
  • Not the outspoken
  • Not the ones who stand when others sit

None.

And when we truly understand that…
we begin to see something clearly:

👉 The standard is not set by man.
👉 The standard is set by Christ.

WHEN THE EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MATCH THE TRUTH

Now here is where it becomes real.

Because many of us—especially those who are trying to live right—
have had moments where we went seeking help…

And we were not met.

We knocked…
and the door did not open.

We spoke…
and were not heard.

We asked for someone to walk with us…
and they chose not to.

And that creates something inside of us.

Not just sadness.

A disruption.
A fire.
A question.

“If Christ denieth none…
then why was I denied?”

UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE

Here is the truth we must hold onto:

Christ does not fail His own standard.
People sometimes do.

Even those called to serve.
Even those placed in positions of responsibility.

That does not make the doctrine untrue.

It means the doctrine is higher than the person.

And that is an important distinction.

Because if we confuse the two,
we risk letting someone else’s failure
shake our foundation in Christ.

WHAT IS ANGER IN THIS MOMENT?

Let’s talk about the anger.

Because anger in this space is often misunderstood.

Anger is not always rebellion.
Anger is not always wrong.

Sometimes…

👉 Anger is the recognition that something sacred was mishandled.

It is your spirit saying:

“This is not aligned with what I know to be true.”

And that matters.

Because it tells you:

  • You know the doctrine
  • You recognize the standard
  • You are paying attention

BUT WHAT DO WE DO WITH THAT FIRE?

Because fire can do two things:

It can refine,
or it can destroy.

And the choice of what it becomes…
belongs to us.

So what do we do when we have been denied by man
while believing in a Savior who denies none?

WE RETURN TO CHRIST—NOT AWAY FROM HIM

We do not walk away from Christ because of people.

We walk closer to Him because we now understand Him better.

Because now we have felt the difference.

We know what it feels like:

  • to not be heard
  • to not be helped
  • to not be walked with

And because of that…

👉 We become more like Him in how we treat others.

THE INVITATION BECOMES OURS TO LIVE

If He denieth none…

Then neither should we.

Not in our homes.
Not in our communities.
Not in our Creekerhood.

That does not mean we accept harmful behavior.
That does not mean we remove boundaries.

But it does mean:

  • We do not shut the door on people seeking good
  • We do not silence those trying to speak truth
  • We do not ignore those asking for help

Because we know how that feels.

MINISTERING — WHAT IT WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE

In Book of Mormon, 3 Nephi 18:32, we are taught:

“Ye shall not cast him out… but ye shall minister unto him.”

Ministering is not a checklist.
It is not a title.
It is not a position.

It is walking with someone.

It is:

  • sitting with them
  • listening to them
  • standing beside them

Even when it’s uncomfortable.
Even when it’s inconvenient.
Even when you don’t fully understand.

WHEN YOU WERE NOT WALKED WITH

If you were not walked with…

Hear this clearly:

👉 That does not mean you were not worthy of being walked with.

👉 That does not mean you were wrong to ask.

👉 That does not mean Christ stepped away.

It means someone did not rise to the level they were called to stand in.

And that is theirs to answer for.

TO EACH OUR OWN TRANSGRESSIONS

There is wisdom in this truth:

“To each our own transgressions.”

We are accountable for:

  • how we respond
  • how we act
  • how we treat others

Not for what someone else failed to do.

So we release what is not ours.

We do not carry their failure as our burden.

STANDING AS A DAUGHTER OF ZION

To stand as a Daughter of Zion is not passive.

It is not silent.

It is not weak.

It is:

  • aware
  • grounded
  • unwavering

It is standing in truth even when others do not recognize it.

It is saying:

“I know what the Law says.
And I will live it—regardless of who does or does not stand with me.”

AND THIS IS THE PROMISE

If you hold to Christ’s standard…

If you continue to invite, to love, to stand…

Then you will never truly stand alone.

Because He who said
“I denieth none”
will not deny you.

CLOSING

So today, let this be your anchor:

Not what someone failed to do.
Not what door did not open.

But what is eternally true:

👉 He inviteth all.
👉 He receiveth all.
👉 He denieth none.

And if we are to follow Him…

Then neither do we.
