I grew up in the poverty of the church.

Those words make some people uncomfortable but, they describe my experience.

I watched faithful people struggle.

I saw talented people who did not know how to prosper from the very gifts they had been given.

I witnessed households surviving rather than thriving.

I learned that testimony alone does not teach budgeting.

Faith alone does not build websites.

Prayer alone does not preserve family stories.

Good intentions alone do not teach communication, entrepreneurship, or the practical skills necessary to navigate the twenty-first century.

I have spent much of my life trying to understand how to change that.

W3CONNECT is part of my answer.

I believe education begins at home.

I believe households should know how to communicate, teach, preserve, and prosper.

I believe artists should understand business.

I believe educators should understand technology.

I believe children should learn practical life skills alongside academic subjects.

I believe grandparents carry wisdom worth preserving.

I believe every person has gifts capable of strengthening a community.

I refuse to accept that poverty must be inherited, generation after generation.

Instead, I choose to inherit resilience.

I choose to inherit faith.

I choose to inherit service.

I choose to inherit stewardship.

And, I choose to add knowledge, communication, and prosperity to that inheritance so that my children and future generations have opportunities that many before them did not.

This is not about becoming wealthy at the expense of others.

It is about teaching people how to recognize the value of what they already know.

It is about helping households move from survival toward stability.

It is about demonstrating that prosperity and service are not enemies.

It is about creating communities where people share what they know so that no household has to struggle alone.

I cannot change where I came from.

But, I can contribute to where we are going.

One household.

One generation.

One namespace.

One community.
