I pray to God, the Eternal Father, because I am His child.

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, whom I understand as my Eternal Brother. I am his eternal sister—a fellow child of our Father. I trust Jesus Christ as I trust myself and our Father, because I trust his example, his love, his sacrifice, and his relationship with God.

I seek to communicate by the power of the Holy Ghost, who teaches, confirms truth, comforts, and helps me recognize what is of God.

So when I speak of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, I am not trying to disrespect the Catholic understanding of the Trinity. I respect that tradition. I am explaining my own faith and the relationships I understand within the Godhead.

I am a child of God.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and my Eternal Brother.
God is our Eternal Father.
The Holy Ghost bears witness of truth.

My prayer therefore has direction:

To our Eternal Father.
In the name of my Eternal Brother, Jesus Christ.


By the power of the Holy Ghost.

This is how I communicate as a Child of God.

I honor Jesus Christ by following him.
I trust him as my Eternal Brother.
And together, we belong to our Eternal Father.
