The New Kind — The Kirton Kid Kind
An eternal family. A living legacy. A new generation.
To every descendant of John Kirton, whether you carry the Kirton name by birth, marriage, ancestry, or in your heart:
We are the Kirton Kids.
We are the descendants of those who came before us, the children of those who endured, and the ancestors of generations yet to come.
We are not defined only by our surnames, our circumstances, or the years in which we were born. We are defined by what we choose to do with the lives we have been given.
Our ancestors had their trials. We have ours. Our children will have theirs.
But each generation has an opportunity to become something more.
A new kind of Kirton Kid.
The kind who listens before judging.
The kind who learns before repeating history.
The kind who stands tall without standing on someone else.
The kind who understands that family is more than a name on a family tree. It is a responsibility to one another, to ourselves, and to those who have not yet been born.
We honor our fathers and mothers, our grandparents and their grandparents, not simply by remembering their names but by learning from their lives.
We cannot change yesterday, but we can comprehend it. We can preserve what was good, acknowledge what was difficult, and choose what deserves to continue.
We are not required to repeat every tradition to honor our ancestors. Sometimes honoring them means doing better with the knowledge they helped us inherit.
That is the new kind. The Kirton Kid kind.
A family that remembers where it came from while taking responsibility for where it is going.
From one generation to the next, from one continent to another, from yesterday into eternity, our family story continues.
And to every Kirton Kid who comes after me:
May you know who you are, where you came from, and how much your presence matters.
May you never confuse wealth with worth, authority with wisdom, or silence with peace.
May you be educated enough to question, compassionate enough to listen, courageous enough to speak, and humble enough to keep learning.
Above all, may you understand that being a child of God is not a competition with another child of God.
We are one eternal family, with room for every generation to grow.
With love, gratitude, and responsibility for those who came before and those yet to come,
K. KIRTON-NINER
A Kirton Kid, a mother, and a descendant carrying the family forward.
THE KIRTON KID KIND
Not just a family name. A way of living.
