CREEKER BROADCAST — MINISTERING TO ONE IN CHRIST

This morning, I showed up.

Not for a crowd.
Not for a program.
Not for appearance.

I showed up because I made a promise to my son.

We drove past a town full of people—community alive, faces out, life happening.
And then we arrived at the Wardhouse…

Doors locked.
Parking lot empty.
No one there.

So let me say this clearly:

Church is community.
And community shows up.

Not just when it’s convenient.
Not just when it’s scheduled.
But when someone comes seeking Christ.

Today, it was just a Mother and her Son.

And I realized something:

Ministering to one… is still ministering in Christ.

Because Jesus Christ never needed a crowd to do His work.

He worked:

  • one by one
  • heart to heart
  • face to face

I did not need a building to be with Him today.

We had:

  • intention
  • remembrance
  • commitment

And that is something no locked door can take away.

To my town, my Creek, my community:

If we are to stand as His people,
then let us be seen.

Not in labels.
Not in categories.
Not in who we are compared to others.

But in how we:

  • show up
  • greet one another
  • listen
  • serve

Sacrament is sacred.
It is not performance.
It is not trend.
It is not marketing.

It is personal.
It is covenant.
It is remembrance.

And when the structure is not there…

we still are.

So today, I stood.

A Mother.
A Son.
A promise kept.

And in that moment, I knew:

Christ was present.

Cave Creek—

Let’s not wait for full rooms.

Let’s be the people who say:

“Hello.”
“I see you.”
“I’m here.”

Because sometimes…

ministering to one is exactly where Christ begins.
