📣 CREEKER BROADCAST — THE FINAL TWO WEEKS OF SUMMER

What a full and meaningful eight weeks of summer it has been—and now there are only two more weeks before heading back to high school at CCUSD®.

Does This Help® wishes everyone a safe, joyful, and memorable ending to a wonderful summer break. Rest, reconnect with your family, finish the projects you started, and prepare yourselves for the next 43 weeks in the CREEKERhood with Creeker.site.

As we begin another season together, I would like to leave everyone with a thought.

Every person has a story. Every family has a story. We do not always understand one another’s experiences, beliefs, or journeys through life. Before we tell someone what they believe, we should first take the time to ask them. Understanding begins by listening.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I strive to follow the gospel principles I find in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I believe in the Ten Commandments, in agency, in accountability for our own choices, and in Jesus Christ’s invitation to love one another.

I also believe that families matter. Relationships may change, marriages may end, and life may take unexpected turns, but kindness, respect, and our responsibility to care for one another should never end.

If there is one challenge I hope our community will accept this year, it is this: get to know your neighbors before judging them. Learn from one another. Respect one another’s freedoms. Protect one another’s boundaries. Love one another as Christ taught.

📚 Creeker Book Club

Everyone is invited to join us as we focus on:

  • Conscious Discipline
  • The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ

My personal challenge is simple: if you are willing, read the Book of Mormon in five days, as I once did. If that pace is not for you, read it over the next six days before next Sunday. Read thoughtfully, take notes, ask questions, and then let’s come together to discuss what we learned—not to debate, but to better understand one another.

Whether you share my faith or not, you are welcome to join the conversation. Respectful dialogue builds stronger families, stronger neighborhoods, and a stronger CREEKERhood.
