Today, I wake with Kollette on my mind and in my spirit. Through the power of the Melchizedek Priesthood, through the eternal bond that connects the children of our Eternal Father, I honor my sister—the third born of our mother, while I am the fifth, and we have a sixth, our littlest sister, plus one more, a sister born of another mother. Our family line runs deep, our roots protected by the hands of those who built and defended the Church, by the names of Kirton and McConkie.

It’s been less than ten years since Kollette left this earth—her body, ravaged by colon cancer, but her legacy untouchable. She trusted deeply, maybe too deeply, in people who claimed they would honor her last wishes. Among them, Tara Cappello—a woman with strange ties to both the Salt Lake Royal soccer team and to the nurse who attended our grandmother’s deathbed. Tara, you made a promise to Kollette. You said you’d establish a trust for her only child—a child of God, baptized in the oldest church, carrying a heritage of faith and hope. Yet that child, my nephew, has yet to see the fruit of any deed you swore to uphold.

Let this be said plainly: Children of Kirton and McConkie are not to be taken lightly. The names we bear are not just names—they are mantles. The assets of the Church, protected by Kirton McConkie, pale in comparison to the children and families that make up its true wealth. You mess with a Kirton kid, you’re going to meet McConkie. And the hammer of truth, justice, and family honor will fall, not out of anger, but out of duty to our name and our God.

So to Tara, and to anyone holding back what is rightfully Kollette’s son’s: The time for delay is over. Honor your promises. Do what is right. Because the greatest assets in the Kingdom are the children—our children—and the angels who walk with us, seen and unseen.

May this message be a blessing to every child who’s ever waited for a promise to be kept, and to every sister, mother, and brother standing up for what’s right. Kollette, we remember. We dream together, forever connected. And we will not rest until every debt of love and legacy is paid.
