Today, a critical moment unfolds in Maricopa County where the rights of a federal land patent holder are once again put to the test — not by the law, but by false accusations and neighborly misuse of the courts.
K. Kirton Niner — known in the community as Shimmer — prepares to stand before a judge this Friday, not just on behalf of her home and her husband Corey, but on behalf of what’s right. At the heart of this case is not just a property line, but a long history of stewardship, faith, and truth.
The accusations against Shimmer involve attempts to shift blame for natural drainage issues, and trespass onto a historic easement placed generations ago by David Ormond — the very man who first received the land by patent. Yet today, those trying to claim offense have ignored both history and honor. These claims not only disregard facts but aim to wear down a family who has stood firm through years of harassment and property destruction.
“I’m not afraid of the courtroom,” Shimmer stated today. “I know who I am. I know whose land this is. And I know Christ never taught us to sue our neighbor for doing what’s right.”
For years, Shimmer and Corey have protected the land, honoring both the law of the land and the laws of Heaven. This week’s court appearance isn’t about fighting back — it’s about standing tall. It’s about demonstrating that the true power of a land patent isn’t just in the ink or the seal, but in the integrity of the one who upholds it.
With sheriff reports, historical documentation, and unwavering testimony, Shimmer expects the judge will see through the noise and reaffirm what’s already true: this land is legally theirs, privately held, and righteously defended.
But this case is about more than just boundaries. It is a national example — a line drawn between those who weaponize systems for personal gain and those who live in covenant with truth, law, and neighborly peace.
As we approach Friday’s hearing, we ask:
Will the court uphold what Christ already taught?
Will the truth be enough to silence the slander?
And will those who falsely accuse be seen for what they are — examples of what not to be?
We’ll find out soon. Until then, Shimmer remains grounded, faithful, and ready to stand in full truth — not just with Corey, but with her Creator.
