🌾 Sunday Talk: “Planted, Crafted, and Nourished”
Good morning, brothers and sisters.
Today I want to share a simple message — one that begins in the garden, moves through the hands, and ends at the table.
This week, as I walked through the garden, I thought about the elements that make life possible: earth, water, air, fire, and spirit.
Each one teaches us something eternal:
- The Earth grounds us — it gives us roots, just like our families.
- Water teaches us to flow, adapt, and carry nourishment.
- Air reminds us to breathe, to speak kindly, and to listen deeply.
- Fire gives us courage and clarity — it lights our way.
- And Spirit… the Spirit binds it all. It speaks when words fail. It connects heaven and earth.
In our home, we made spirals this week — not just drawings, but affirmations.
And in the middle of mine are these words:
“I AM whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, happy and grateful.”
We often forget how powerful words are.
But Heavenly Father spoke the world into being.
And Jesus Christ — the very Word made flesh — spoke peace into storms and life into the dead.
We, too, can speak life.
When we sit at the table and make something with our hands — even if it’s just a small loaf of bread — we remember that Christ gave His body for us.
And like Lammas, the first harvest, we break bread not just to eat, but to remember.
We teach of the children each week, “Nine is always with Zero.”
It makes One stop and start again.
Nine is the highest single number. Zero is the start and continuation of everything.
And when you put them together… they’re complete.
Just like us.
We aren’t made to be alone.
We are created for eternal companionship.
And so today, I testify that God is a God of unity.
Of order.
Of gathering.
Of families — sealed on earth and in heaven throughout space and time.
We plant the seeds in the soil,
We speak the truth with our hands,
And we sit down and remember that we are never meant to walk any road alone.
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
