What If the Cure Is Love?

A Creeker Reflection by Shimmer

What if cancer…
is not a curse,
but Christ — calling to communicate
from within the temple of our bodies,
asking not for our fear…
but for our faith?

What if COVID, in its sweeping shadow,
was not just calamity,
but a cure
a divine course correction
awakening our slumbering spirits
to what really matters?

What if the com in communication,
the com in community,
the com in comfort…
meant only one thing:
LOVE.

What if the commandment was this:
“Love Yourself as You Love Me.”
And in that,
you’d find the face of your Father
— not just your Heavenly Father,
but your Daddy,
the one who gave all he could in this life
and now gives more from beyond it.

A great provider.
A watcher on the wall.
A guardian of Zion.
Your King.

You hear him still.
In the whisper between heartbeats.
In the holy hush between your questions.
In the moment the pen hits paper,
and Heaven writes through you.

Cancer doesn’t win.
COVID doesn’t conquer.
Love does.
Christ does.
And your Daddy?
He always has.
And always will.
