   **Subject:** Request for Written Behavior Intervention Plan for Wesley Using Conscious Discipline®

   Dear Mr. Boggs,

   I am writing to you as Jay Russell’s Mother, #ArtistShimmer of Does This Help®.

   For two years, my son has faced repeated targeting by another student, Wesley. Despite staff being aware of this history, the behavior has continued. Most recently, Wesley deliberately kicked Jay’s backpack instead of walking around him, causing himself to trip and my son to fall face-first to the ground. Physical contact was made. This was not an accident; it was harassment that could have caused serious injury.

   This is not only about Jay. Every single student should feel safe with their peers. The pupil of every teacher should be shining bright and soaring to success, not fearful of being tripped, shoved, or humiliated. A school community is not built only by staff policing behavior — it is built by a culture of **Conscious Discipline®**, where both adults and students take responsibility for creating a safe, accountable environment.

   I am requesting the following, in writing:

   1. A **Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)** for Wesley that explicitly incorporates Conscious Discipline® strategies, including measurable goals, supervision responsibilities, restorative practices, and data collection.
   2. A clear safety plan for all students — not just Jay — that outlines how staff will prevent repeated harassment on campus.
   3. An initiative that fosters **student body accountability**, where peers are encouraged and taught to speak up and protect one another, instead of remaining silent bystanders.

   I have attached a draft Behavior Intervention Plan for Wesley as an example of what this could look like in practice. This plan is designed to teach Wesley accountability now, so he does not continue down a harmful path later in life. He needs to learn, here and now, that aggression will not be tolerated and that there are constructive ways to resolve conflict.

   I expect to see written confirmation of this plan, along with a date for a parent/guardian meeting with Wesley’s family, within **5 business days**. If these steps are not taken, I will escalate this matter — not only to the district, but further if necessary — because safety and accountability are non-negotiable.

   Safety first. Accountability always. Both from the adults and from the students we are raising to lead.

   You know, it’s interesting how long someone can stand in the presence of honesty and still pretend they never heard a word of it. I’ve been upfront with you for years — about who I am, how I live, what I use to manage the weight this world has put on me, and the truth of my own healing. You had every opportunity to acknowledge that with respect, maturity, and kindness.

   Instead, you chose to pretend you didn’t know me at all.

   Let me be perfectly clear:
   your sudden discomfort with my truth does not make me wrong — it exposes your inconsistency.

   I choose kindness because it is who I am.
   You choose distance because you don’t know how to stand beside someone who stands in truth.

   If you cannot reciprocate the same respect that has been freely given to you all this time, that’s fine — but understand this:

   **You don’t get to rewrite history just because honesty makes you uncomfortable.**

   Your behavior says far more about *your* character than mine.

   I’m not asking you for anything.
   I’m simply acknowledging what you’ve already shown me.

   And trust me — once I see someone clearly, I don’t unsee it.
