A TESTIMONY OF CHRIST, UNITY, AND LIVING WITNESSES
I stand before you as one.
A daughter of heritage, a Kirton Kid from Draper, Utah—rooted in generations that came before me, and reaching forward into generations yet to come.
I do not stand alone.
I stand as a child of God.
And I testify of my Father in Heaven, who is a God of truth, of light, and of awakening.
He is not a God who binds His children—
He is a God who loosens them.
Those whose hands feel tied—He calls them to be freed.
Those whose eyes are veiled—He invites them to see.
Those whose ears are muffled—He speaks truth that can still be heard.
And I believe that call is happening now.
CHRIST APPEARS—AND CLARITY ENTERS THE WORLD
In 3 Nephi 11, we are given one of the most sacred moments recorded in scripture.
The resurrected Jesus Christ descends among the people in the Americas.
He does not arrive in confusion.
He does not bring chaos.
He brings clarity.
He invites the people to come forward—one by one—to feel the prints in His hands and feet.
That detail matters.
Because Christ works with us individually.
One by one.
Heart to heart.
Life to life.
And then He teaches a truth that anchors everything:
That the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one.
Not the same being—but perfectly united.
United in purpose.
United in truth.
United in love.
There is no division in Them.
And that is the pattern we are invited to follow.
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ONE
When I say, “I am one,” I am not replacing God.
I am aligning with Him.
To be one is to remove division within ourselves.
To no longer live in contradiction—
where we say one thing and live another,
where we see truth but refuse to act on it.
Christ’s invitation is simple, but it is not easy:
Come unto Me.
Be baptized.
Receive the Holy Ghost.
Live My gospel.
This is how we become one—not only with God, but within ourselves.
And when that happens, something powerful takes place:
Confusion begins to leave.
Peace begins to settle in.
Truth becomes recognizable.
THE THREE NEPHITES: LIVING WITNESSES OF CONTINUITY
After Christ’s ministry in the Americas, something remarkable happens in 3 Nephi 28.
Three disciples ask the Lord for something different than the others.
They do not ask to return quickly to Him.
They ask to remain.
To stay on the earth—
to continue to minister—
to bring souls unto Christ until He comes again.
And Christ grants that request.
These are known as the Three Nephites.
They are not legends meant to entertain.
They are witnesses meant to remind.
They represent something deeply important:
That Christ’s work did not end.
That His ministry continues.
That there are still servants moving quietly, unseen at times, but present.
WHO THE THREE NEPHITES ARE TO ME
To me, the Three Nephites are not just figures in scripture.
They are a symbol—and more than a symbol.
They represent the idea that God does not abandon His people.
That help can come in ways we do not always recognize.
That there are those who serve without recognition, without applause, without announcement.
In a world that often demands visibility, they represent quiet service.
In a world that seeks credit, they represent pure intent.
And whether we meet them in the flesh or not, their mission is clear:
To strengthen faith.
To guide quietly.
To remind us that Christ is still actively working among His people.
And I believe that influence is still felt today.
Not always in ways we can prove—but in ways we can feel.
Moments of protection.
Moments of unexpected help.
Moments where truth is spoken exactly when it is needed.
WHY THEY STILL MATTER TODAY
We live in a time where truth is often questioned.
Where voices are loud—but not always right.
Where confusion can feel overwhelming.
And in that world, the message of the Three Nephites matters more than ever:
That God’s work is ongoing.
That His servants are still engaged.
That His eyes are still upon His people.
They remind us that we are not left alone to figure this out.
And more importantly—they remind us of what we are capable of becoming.
Not immortal beings—but faithful servants.
People who:
Stand for truth even when it is unpopular.
Serve without needing recognition.
Remain steady when the world shifts.
BECOMING PART OF THE WORK
You and I may not be the Three Nephites.
But we are invited into the same work.
To testify of Christ.
To lift others.
To bring light into dark places.
To live in such a way that when others see us—they feel something different.
Not because of us—but because of Him.
Because when we align with Christ, we begin to reflect Him.
A PERSONAL DECLARATION
I stand as one.
Not because I have all the answers—
but because I know where to turn for them.
I stand as one with my Father in Heaven.
One with His Son.
One with the influence of the Holy Ghost.
And I testify that this unity is real.
I have felt confusion leave.
I have felt truth settle in.
I have felt peace replace fear.
And I know that Jesus Christ lives.
I know that His ministry in 3 Nephi 11 is true.
I know that His work continues—through His Spirit, through His servants, and yes, through those like the Three Nephites who asked to remain.
CLOSING
We are not here by accident.
We are here to learn.
To grow.
To choose.
And ultimately—to become one.
Not in sameness—but in unity with truth.
I invite each of us to consider:
Where am I divided within myself?
What truth do I already see—but have not yet lived?
Because Christ’s invitation still stands:
Come unto Me.
And when we do—we are not left separate.
We are brought into something greater.
Into unity.
Into purpose.
Into truth.
